It's an oldie in the realm of internet comedy but truly NASCAR parody at its best and something anyone with even the slightest interest in the sport should view just for a hearty laugh.

It's legendary NASCAR coach Dan Amon revealing the secrets of the sport to The Onion News Network. Some of the tips offered by coach Amon.  "Well, the most important point is to drive fast."

"We do a lot of training with pedals. Pushing the pedal down all the way, that's very important. Now a lot of mistakes a lot of rookie drivers make is they only push the pedal down part way."

It had been nearly four months since JR Motorsports driver Danica Patrick, had gotten behind the wheel of her No. 7 GoDaddy.com sponsored Chevrolet.

Along with the expectations for her return, also came the scrutiny which has followed her since her first Nationwide experience back in February.

Patrick, who flew in on Thursday night, got a bit of a surprise when JR Motorsports team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr, invited her to take a few laps in order to prepare her for Saturday’s New England 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Patrick had contact with Morgan Shepherd on lap 7 of the New England 200 at the 1.058-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

She went down a lap because of the spin and then lost four more laps throughout the course of the event to finish 30th  her best finish.

In her four career Nationwide Series starts. “It’s disappointing to go down a lap so early, it’s disappointing to start the race with car damage, it’s disappointing to get lapped.

So many times,” said the 28-year-old IndyCar Series driver, who will compete in 13 Nationwide races for JR Motorsports this year.

“Then again, I was thinking out there at the end that it reminds me a lot of my first short oval races in an IndyCar. I got lapped a ton of times in those.

NASCAR  diva Danica Patrick hasn’t lost contact with her feminine side in an occupation ruled by testosterone and horsepower.

Patrick was overjoyed yesterday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway when the track’s general manager, Jerry Gappens, presented her with a $1,000 pair of Yves Saint Laurent platform heels.

Patrick’s drawing power and sex appeal have helped to produce a 30 percent increase in ticket sales for this afternoon’s Nationwide Series.

Danica Patrick has become a NASCAR phenomenon without portfolio. Patrick is an IndyCar veteran who will make her fourth foray into.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series when she competes in the New England 200 tomorrow at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

NHMS general manager Jerry Gappens is thrilled having a wild card like Patrick in the warmup act for Sunday’s Lenox Industrial Tools 301.“

When it comes to expectation levels, Danica Patrick ought to roll her eyes. She can't get away. She's a media-made star. She's IndyCar's most recognizable face.

So even though she has only one victory, the expectation levels go where she goes. And now she has a modest streak of three top-10 finishes in IndyCar.

And she's hopping back into a stock car for this week's NASCAR Nationwide stop in New Hampshire. Presto. More media attention.

More expectations – her own and everybody else's. "I think that the best thing I can do for myself on the NASCAR weekends is really come up with some realistic expectation levels instead of having them be like IndyCar expectation levels.

Where I'm hoping to win and I'm hoping to finish on the podium," she said. "Those are probably a little bit more unrealistic in Nationwide at this point for how much I still have to learn.

What can Danica Patrick possibly bring back to NASCAR after her four month hiatus to the Indy Racing League, besides another 10 weeks of hearing her fans rant and rave about what a good driver she is?

Without sugar coating the truth, or trying to pad her stats which so far this season are nowhere near what her fans say she is capable of.

Danica Patrick is returning to the Nationwide Series at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for Saturday's New England 200, her fourth career start in NASCAR competition. Patrick made her NASCAR Nationwide Series debut at Daytona in February after finishing sixth in the ARCA race on the 2.5-mile superspeedway. Crashing the No.

The famous IndyCar driver, who is competing on a limited schedule in the NASCAR Nationwide Series announced.

Saturday morning she would not return for the Nationwide Series U.S. Cellular 250 at the Iowa Speedway for July 31.
