Princess Danica Patrick has been the darling of IndyCar for the past 5 years. However, 4 words last week have seemingly ruined her favor. Patrick said ‘it’s not my fault’ after qualifying 23rd for the upcoming 94th Indianapolis 500 which will be on Sunday.
Fans were very annoyed by Patrick’s comment. She has long been IndayCar’s favorite driver, and she actually received boos when she drove.
On the track. Apparently people think that Danica Patrick has bad manners and may even be quite arrogant because of her statement.
Danica Patrick’s driving has not been nearly as good this season as it was last season. Last year she was third at Indianapolis and fifth in the IndyCar points.
However, this season she has only had one top 10 finish. She also seems fairly miserable with little to smile about. Most people think that Danica Patrick has a bad attitude right now.
Patrick says that her goal is to win the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. She really needs a win to give her season a kick in the pants. Of course, starting at 23rd it will be a tough thing to do. What do you think? Was Danica Patrick’s statement worth all the ire from the fans? Is she just a pretty face who gets too much attention in the IndyCar? Is her career over?
